Procurement and scheduling of mine installation equipment and materials deliveries
Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to meet project deadlines
Plan purchasing activities with contract administrator, suppliers, the Procurement Superintendent and others as necessary
Maintain frequent and regular contact with suppliers
Regular monitoring and reporting on delivery fulfillment and quality
Intervene when deliveries may deviate from specs or schedule, with superintendent guidance
Other administrative tasks as determined by supervisor
At least five years in procurement and expediting in the mining, petroleum or heavy construction industries
Detailed schedule management, freight and production planning for large item deliveries
Manage multiple competing priorities successfully
Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Conflict resolution and leadership skills are an asset
Applicable education or on-job training
Possibility of extension after 1 yr
Hourly rate $40-$55 depending on experience
Located at remote Northern Ontario mining camp
Schedule is mining camp shift-work: 3 weeks on/2 weeks off, particulars negotiable
Onsite schedule is 7 days weekly, 10 hours a day
Start date is asap
