JOB SUMMARY

  • To assist in the preparation of vial clients
  • To assist in data entry and adjudication of prescription
  • To oversee basic inventory requirements of the pharmacy
  • To support packaging requirements

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Adhere to all applicable Policies, Standards, and Procedures
  • Maintain workflow and efficient data entry after receipt of prescription
  • Prepare delivery of weekly prescriptions patients
  • To assist in receiving and data entry of new prescriptions
  • To assist in answering phones
  • To assist in preparation of prescription for retail component
  • Prepare order for restocking to Inventory Technician
  • Prepare weekly delivery orders
  • Replenish shelves with reorder medications as needed
  • Maintain stock levels and order when required
  • Ensure area is clean and free of garbage and debris at all times
  • Complete other nightly duties as requested by pharmacy manager

OTHER DUTIES

  • Other duties will be assigned as required.

  • Regular attendance and punctuality is required to perform essential duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information, as well as all Pharmacare’s proprietary information
  • Ensure accurate documentation
  • Work within organization P & P and ACP regulations
  • Wear Identification Cards consistent with company policy
  • Strong English communication skills

PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES

  • This position requires the selected candidate to sit, stand and walk throughout the day.
  • Excellent memory skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Pharmacy Technician Diploma or Experience (2 years)
  • Clean Criminal Record - Drug/Alcohol free
  • Experience with Kroll
  • Perform basic math; read and follow instructions; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions
  • Possess a positive, cooperative and team oriented attitude

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The chosen candidate may be asked to undergo a criminal record check and/or basic security clearance.
  • Must dress in a clean and professional manner
  • Drug/Alcohol free
