Assistant Groomer (Current Employee) – Oakville, ON – 30 August 2013
My typical day at work involves, bathing and brushing dogs, nail trims and ear cleaning, along with answering the phone and making appointments. My job is very customer service focused. I love working with both dogs and people. I really enjoy the interactions with people and their pets in my job and the ability to aid them in finding or doing what is right for their dog.
Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee) – Kanata, ON – 16 March 2018
Petsmart is a great place to work if you want to earn extra money. It's hard to advance unless some one else "leaves". Some of the management styles are completely different from store to store. Some manage very well while others let everyone else "manage" the job without learning how themselves.
Overall if you do your job on time and well, you will be fine.

Cashier (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 14 March 2018
I was a cashier for just over a year. I loved my co-workers. it's your average cashier job. You are asked to do additional tasks, such as help with pricing, stock, etc. It was always fun giving a dog a treat at the cashier. It gave decent hours for part-time job.
This job went complete downhill when your job depended on email-capture, no matter how hard you tried. The schedule never came out 2 weeks in advanced, however, management was really good with time off.
The SL at my location was just rude to everyone, treating them as her slaves and not as people. She had double standards and treated you like garbage when you submitted resignation. However, the rest of the management was caring.
