Employed (Current Employee) – Around – 18 January 2017
By far the worst place I've worked. Zero training with unattainable expectations. Some coworkers were awesome. However, the majority were not. Lots of gossip and rumours made for a toxic work environment. Stay away!!
I have met and work with good people. I have learned patience. Management listens to my concerns. I feel the heavy lifting is the hardest part of the job. No steps on some of the trucks which makes it hard getting in and out of the back of the truck. The most enjoyable part is going out and meeting all the different people.
I worked as a grocery clerk. Pretty standard shelf stocking. There was a bigger focus on customer service that I noticed wasn't stressed all that much at other grocers. The coworkers I worked with were exceptional, as was management. It's a long time spent on your feet, but that's all part of the job. The best part was being focused more on helping a customer over anything else. Made for a great environment.
Getting to know members of the community. Working independently.
A high quality work environment with great colleagues...
Produce Clerk (Current Employee) – Halifax, NS – 25 January 2015
With clear directions from Supervisors and Dept. Manager, I accomplish a considerable amount of high quality assorted work tasks. I have gained respect from management at all levels and was selected to represent my department on the HR Culture of Caring development committee. I love my morning crew members and we share tasks to accomplish the overall work-load for each shift together. Customers Relations are very important for this company and I am regularly rewarded for "outstanding" attention to customers and their needs.
Excellent benefits: health, insurance, discounts, holidays with pay.
