Deli Cases
Deli Cases (Former Employee), Wolfville, NSMay 9, 2013
I enjoyed coming in early morning, setting up the cases, filling them with tasty food.
I learned a lot about knife and meat cutter safety.

Bottom of the Barrel

Pros: friendly customers
Cons: poor compensation, poor management, no breaks
The best part about working for pete's was the customers. I love to work with people, so having customers constantly was very enjoyable. This job, however, is very low-rate and the company obviously does not value their employees or treat them with appreciation or respect. During my interview, I detailed specifically my availability. I was told I would – more... be given 35 hours a week, and because of that, I turned down a higher paying job that promised less hours. However, upon viewing the very first schedule posted, the availability I specified was completely ignored and I was only scheduled 16 hours each week. Also, this company only pays minimum wage, and does not allow for employee breaks. One person is left alone to manage the entire store, and so it is hard to even get a restroom break as employees are not allowed to leave the register if customers are present in the store. – less

Helping customers, stocking shelves. I enjoyed meeting new and interesting people. The district manager was awesome to work with. My co-workers were fun to work with.
