Each Pet Food ‘N More store operates with a team of a Manger, Assistant Manager and Shift Supervisors as well as Part time Associates This position of District Manager will be directly responsible for one of the Stores as a Manager and supervises another Location and store staff to ensure the successful overall operation of the store. They report directly to a Regional Manager.

Our managers provide an exceptional customer service experience and that they inspire their co-workers to do the same. Additionally, successful candidates will demonstrate that they can think quantitatively, manage for specific sales outcomes, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. A high degree of self-awareness and self-control, a strong achievement drive, empathy, and good social skills are essential for success in our company. Applicants must have a high school diploma. Applicants must a minimum of 2 years experience managing teams of people in a retail environment.
Successful candidates will be paired with a District Manager or Regional Manager for a four week period. They will need to be able to commute to different locations through this period. This relationship with your Regional Manager will provide you with continued support and mentors to help you create a successful store.
You will have to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis. We are open every day except for New Year's Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. No time off permitted during the three weeks preceding Christmas. Travel between stores and the corporate office is regularly necessary and you must have the means to do so.
You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis in order to re stock the store and provide carryout service for customers
Hiring, training and motivating Team Members
Ensuring company procedures are utilized on a day in day out basis.
Implementing an inventory plan to ensure that customer’s needs are met within budget
Scheduling your Team and related payroll reporting.
Successfully managing unforeseen problems relating to team members or customers
Ensure that overall store appearance is clean, exciting and easy to shop.
Maintaining a program that optimizes sales and store profitability by meeting consumers needs for their companion animals.
