Pros: good pay through tips, good customer satisfaction experience, flexible scheduling
Cons: uncooperative employees
I started working at Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery when I was fourteen. I was able to work weekends as a busser and after a year or so, moved up to host. When I was fifteen, I was promoted to server and continued to do so until I moved to Citizens Bank. The jobs I worked are pretty much what one would imagine of a busser/host/server as it was my middle/high school job. As a busser, I worked with other bussers to make sure the restaurant was seating guests as quickly as possible. As a host, I greeted the guests and took them to their seats. As a server, I provided a hospitable environment to ensure customer satisfaction and ensured timely and accurate food service to customers.
I learned how to work with my fellow employees as well as how to work with guests.
