Job Title: SCOM Technical Consultant
Type: Permanent, full time role
Location: GTA. Our client has a virtual company meaning they don’t have a physical office and have no intention of getting one in the short term, although they do hold meetings at an office when necessary).
Travel: Yes, throughout the GTA (90 to 100%). There could also be some limited travel outside of this area down the road. *Must be able to enter the USA for conferences as required (very minimal/occasional).
Other: The successful candidate will successfully pass a security and background check as end clients are in the Banking industry.
Team Size: The role will work as part of a 22 member team of Consultants

-Education: Relevant post secondary education:
-Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
-Strong experience working in large projects, preferably within the banking industry
-Good Interpersonal skills; excellent client facing/customer service skills
-Well spoken, polished English language communications skills (verbal and written)
Experience with the following is critical:
-Day to day operations and maintenance experience with SCOM
-Installation and configuration of SCOM
-Installation and configuration of SCOM Management Packs
-Management Pack tuning (customization)
-Documentation skills and experience must be demonstrated
-ITIL foundations (certification or at least understanding)
-SCOM infrastructure Design experience would be a great asset
-System Center components; (SCCM, SCSM, etc)
-Strength in the design, build and management of other tier 1 monitoring platforms
