Work as a CSR
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON26 June 2017
Culture is often to take advantage of the temp workers looking for work. Making them often work in harsh conditions. Their safety that they train on is often disregarded by the upper management and told to lie about if they are actually attending the safety conference meetings.
Pros
They don't mind if you are late occasionally
Cons
Management

good for same day cash, you get paid at the end of every day. However the jobs aren't very gratifying although they can give you potential opportunity to land a real career.

You fed off a poor economy
Sucker (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB26 April 2017
This company posted some great positions on Indeed. The application process was probably harder than border jumping! After going through this I and others found it to be a scam to get people in the door. Beware people, if it sounds too good to be true, you end up in an outhouse office with cockroaches.
Pros
Chair was comfy
Cons
Read my review, head cockroach was late

One of the better daily paid temp. agencies in Edmonton.
Bottem of the barrel scum sucking labourer. (Current Employee) –  Edmonton, AB25 February 2017
Labour ready Argyle plaza is one of the better temp agencies for “daily” payers in Edmonton. This winter has been tough, more people less work. Staff is good, the ladies are darlings. There is no green grass anywhere right now, I know I tried the other agencies out of desperation, turns out was better off staying here. Its tough sledding right now no matter what positive spin our current government is trying to put on it. But when there is work you get a huge variety never get bored, the only job I ever had that was fun while being this broke. Good luck.
Pros
Staff, deliver on what they say. Get paid same day.
Cons
Times are bad, other wise most of us wouldn't be going here.

Its a job for someone with trouble finding one
General laborer (Former Employee) –  Belleville, ON6 February 2017
I'd get a new call everyday usually to work somewhere different at a different time , i learned new things everyday really long to put into words but to sum it up it was a great learning experience , it was very unpleasant not knowing if you were gonna get work or not , being that worried if your not gonna be able to provide . it paid daily if needed the cash that day for something , but it was also very hard to manage my money , another dislike .
Pros
it paid .
Cons
very low paid and distance having to travel get to jobs daily in gas alone .

General Laborer (Former Employee) –  London, ON5 February 2017
Low wages but the experience gained working at such a temp agency is well worth getting. The only thing I didn't enjoy was not knowing what type of job you would be sent to daily so it was hard to be prepared completely. PPE equipment supplied by employer so that was good.

Costumes are great to work for.

Hards part trying to get out when the. Manager don't follow the company own rules.)1 is the right to refuse work
(2) the job match policy send to job that not your forte. Which is a type of discrimination.

A happy employee is good worker which means repeat work for the people Ready, and worker

The best part is most of the office staff are great to work for.
Pros
office staff has to put up with it to
Cons
Management should take anger management

SIN Number Required For Survey
Office (Former Employee) –  Canada13 January 2017
You don't have to give out your SIN number until after you have been offered a job. Unfortunately, they require it in order to complete the Work Habits survey which is necessary to be offered a job. Use the following number 264 580 309 in place of your real SIN to complete the survey (or Google SIN number generator to make your own).

Of course you'll have to say you lie almost never on a couple of the survey questions but that's better than giving out your SIN. People Ready use it as a form of identification (as of this writing) which is not allowed under Canadian privacy laws.

The Work Habit survey is very American (in my opinion) as it asks you in various ways if you would hit someone or steal from the company every second or third question. Not really works habits. Would have been better to ask for a criminal check.
Pros
Didn't make it that far.
Cons
Survey

Comment – 31 January 2017

They are now using Jobillico for their Canadian clients which means that you don't have to give out your SIN number or complete the silly survey (not sure if you will have to fill it out once you're contacted). I'll move them up to four stars for at least complying with Canadian privacy laws.
