Our client has created a new opportunity for a Logistics and Export Specialist to join the team. The Logistics and Export Specialist will manage a fleet of vehicles and product demonstration units worldwide. The qualified candidate will manage all shipping requirements for the company and will work with Facilities, Production and Demo teams to provide back up as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø Manage logistics requirements for the company’s car fleet including RFQ’s, scheduling, logos, detailing, routine maintenance, shipping, carnet renewals and registrations (domestic and international)

Ø Manage demo schedule, including working with demo team to fulfill requests from sales and marketing

Ø Ensure schedules are met for domestic and international shipments

Ø Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all shipping requirements are met for the company, including customer orders, inter-office shipments, as well as tradeshows and events worldwide

Ø Provide expertise on customs import and export requirements by country, verifying that all documentation is complete and accurate (including commercial invoices, declarations)

Ø Assist demo team in routine assembly of product demos

Ø Provide back up to production team for receiving and order fulfillment functions as required

Ø Conduct regular assessments of suppliers including transportation companies and customs brokers for maximum efficiency and quality control

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

Ø Degree or Diploma in Business and previous related business experience.

Ø 2-5 years’ experience in dealing with various customs authorities and brokers

Ø Experience with power ship programs

Specialized Skills:

Ø Clear understanding of customs requirements

Ø Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Ø Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to multi-task

Ø Strong team player

Ø Good computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite- familiarl with JDE is an asset

Ø Understanding of software technology would be desirable
