Regular Freight company
Communications Coordinator/Analyst (Former Employee), United States – August 10, 2012
There isn't much to say about a Freight company. The staff is usually underpaid and frustrated on a daily basis. The truck drivers are usually nicer then office staff, ironic huh?

A great place to work.
Dockman (Former Employee), Los Indios, TX – August 1, 2012
Pros: the lunch parties were great.
Cons: health insurance to high.
I learn to work as a team. The management always ready to help. The hardest part would be adjusting to the hot weather.

Penske
Driver (Former Employee), Tucson, AZ – July 31, 2012
Pros: barbeques, doughnut day
Cons: nothing
A typical day at work varied from day to day, but also moving trucks to different cities. I learned how to get around different cities. When the management makes work fun you are excited to work for them more. My co-workers were easy to work with, some of us knew eachother outside of work. the hardest part of the job was that there really wasnt a hard – more... part. Most enjoyable was getting the chance to work for this company. – less

Great place to work!
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Florence, SC – July 16, 2012
Pros: good benefits, good pay, great people!
Cons: management at times will ingore things that should be addressed.
Busy office especially month end. Management could not be nicer, a more understanding group. For the most part the entire office is like a big family, they just care so much. The hardest part of my job was having to give it up, (because of the economy), and to leave a family that you care about so much! I still miss them all!

An absolutely horrible experience because of pathetic management that cared less about the workforce.
Senior Operations Supervisor (Former Employee), Grand Rapids, MI – July 14, 2012
Cons: long hrs and no compensation, 70% of the workforce could care less about 5s
10 - 17 hrs a day. Had numerous oppportunities to employ lean philosophies, but workforce failed to embrace the culture change.

Great people and the work is ok
Forklift (Former Employee), Pond Station – June 11, 2012
the work is not hard, but you dont have a union and your opinion doesnt really matter when it comes down to some situations. The boss is one sided and selfish when it comes to other peoples problems.

High pace, small margin for error and kept you busy all day.
Materials Coordinator (Former Employee), Saint Paul, MN – May 31, 2012
Pros: kept busy all day, good pay, liked the factory setting.
Cons: no defined breaks or lunches, potentially long hours with no overtime.
I would get to work by 10:00 a.m., get to work. In the morning I would run my early reports, fill out necessary paper work, then make the next days dock schedule. At around noon I would run my noon-day reports and do some more paperwork. At 4:00 p.m. I ran my mid-day reports then went to lunch. I would put the finishing touches end edit the dock schedule – more... at 6:00 pm, run my final reports and leave if all went well at 7:00.

I enjoyed working with all my co-workers, they helped me when I needed it and I helped them. My bosses were excellent, they told me what they expected of me and let me handle my business. – less
