There isn't much to say about a Freight company. The staff is usually underpaid and frustrated on a daily basis. The truck drivers are usually nicer then office staff, ironic huh?

Great place to work with a great team of workers. Company managed well and demonstrated a high level of integrity toward employees and customers. I would work for this company again.

A typical day at work varied from day to day, but also moving trucks to different cities. I learned how to get around different cities. When the management makes work fun you are excited to work for them more. It is fun adventure place to work at Penske Logistics,there is,n to many place,s were get the days newspaper first and respondabliy is to get it custemer safty ant fast,the traditional newspaper something to touch and feel real.

Great money,, but no job security. Only weekend work available.

Busy office especially month end. Management could not be nicer, a more understanding group. For the most part the entire office is like a big family, they just care so much. The hardest part of my job was having to give it up, (because of the economy), and to leave a family that you care about so much! I still miss them all!

10 - 17 hrs a day. Had numerous oppportunities to employ lean philosophies, but workforce failed to embrace the culture change.

Worked a lot of hours, manager expected more without the proper training.
Brought up training possibilities and got the later talked.

8 hr shifts very fast paced work non stop loading and unloading trailers.Co workers were cool they made the days fun.The hardest part of the job was the rush hour traffic going to work but it was cool.I learned how to properly load/unload trailers the most enjoyable part of the job was the co workers they kept me smiling.

Enjoyed the work force and interacting with KB Homes superintendents and vendors.

This company had an easy going work environment. Great management and opportunities to grow within the company. Offered good benefits. Job security until the company relocated.

the work is not hard, but you dont have a union and your opinion doesnt really matter when it comes down to some situations. The boss is one sided and selfish when it comes to other peoples problems.

I traveled alot with this job and it was always fun and exciting. My co workers were great and its a really professional place to work

I would get to work by 10:00 a.m., get to work. In the morning I would run my early reports, fill out necessary paper work, then make the next days dock schedule. At around noon I would run my noon-day reports and do some more paperwork. At 4:00 p.m. I ran my mid-day reports then went to lunch. I would put the finishing touches end edit the dock schedule – more... at 6:00 pm, run my final reports and leave if all went well at 7:00.

I enjoyed working with all my co-workers, they helped me when I needed it and I helped them. My bosses were excellent, they told me what they expected of me and let me handle my business. – less
