Responsible for full life cycle recruitment in a unionized/manufacturing environment. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY.
Responsible for executing and driving new recruitment initiatives and processes, including the implementation and management of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Partner with Hiring Managers to identify recruitment needs in the business and suggest innovative sourcing strategies including the use of web-based tools, government programs, college/university co-op or graduate programs, social media, etc. and traditional sourcing methodologies including online job boards and industry associations.
Proactively develop a pool of qualified candidates and create a pipeline for future hiring requirements.
Effectively administer all pre-employment testing and verification during the recruitment process.
Reduce overall recruitment costs through the use of alterative sourcing techniques.
Liaise with employment and temporary agencies when necessary.
Partner with management to ensure that job descriptions are current, accurate and effectively
Interview, assess and present qualified candidates to the business based on job profiles.
Report on current status and anticipated recruitment needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years of full cycle recruitment experience in a corporate and/or agency environment.
Previous manufacturing and union experience REQUIRED.
Prior experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) a must.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client groups with different needs and requirements.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
A strategic thinker with previous experience using a variety of recruitment strategies.
Highly innovative personality with the ability to initiate and drive change.
Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
Strong computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
