Productive and fun workplace with a ping pong table
Engineering Intern (Current Employee), Golden Valley, MN – March 8, 2013
A lean encouraging workplace where design works with quality, sales and manufacturing to create a product that satisfies the customers needs. If a problem or issue ever came up, anyone would be more than willing to help you solve it.

fun place to work
machine operator (Former Employee), Trumann, AR – February 27, 2013
I worked at parker for 7 years. It was very fun and challenging. i didn't mind going to work, because i worked around fun and working adults. who did their job and did it well. I learned that making production each hour of day makes the company money and the employees benefit from it. The hardest part of the job was knowing that i was going to closed – more... down. The moste enjoyable part is that the employees got prophe sharing checks every three months. – less

Good place to work, lots of older staff doing redundant work
Engineering Intern (Former Employee), Portland, ME – February 27, 2013
Pros: pizza parties, friendly staff, birthday parties, etc.
Cons: often repetitive work, lots of employees seem bored, or dissatisfied with their job
Very friendly staff, mostly of an older generation. Everyone was really nice, and we had multiple pizza parties to celebrate achievements, or when people left.

Strong Companyt @
Operations Supervisor (Former Employee), Greensboro, NC – February 3, 2013
Pros: outstanding company; run extremely well from top to bottom
Cons: work schedule
Greensboro, NC facility; the only negative thing I can say is about my work schedule: open the building @ 4:30am and work until 4:30-5:00 or even later at times. 6 days/week for 8-9 months of the year.
To be fair, this was the schedule when I signed on, but turned out to impact my family more than I thought it would.
The people were great to work with, – more... and the support from division HQ was better than on-site support in other companies I have worked at. I would return to Parker if there were a more family-friendly schedule. – less

Part Time Assembly Worker (Current Employee), Otsego, MI – January 29, 2013
Pros: clean, not too loud, helpful people
Cons: gossip, management is changing, no chance of advancement on 1st shift
Parker Hannifin is a well rounded company. They have the chance of advancing to different departments throughout the building. Daily work is nice because it is a clean environment.

Great company
CNC Machinist (Current Employee), Marysville, Oh – January 25, 2013
Parker Hannifin is a great company to work for, I am just looking for a company with more job security. A typical day is performing tool changes, work offsets, and small adjustments to programming when needed. I also try to maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. I have learned a lot about turning centers and how their tool pressures effect – more... high precision parts. I get along with everyone at work and do well in working as a group as well as working unsupervised. The hardest part about the job is keeping parts on size and making good parts, this to me is also the most enjoyable part of my job because I enjoy challenges. – less

This was a factory position but I did enjoy it greatly.
Stock Clerk/shipper/receiver (Former Employee), Mayfield Hts, OH – January 14, 2013
Pros: great shift time and job opportunities withing the company.
Cons: they shut down the manufacturing facility and let jobs go to other sources.
I loved the 7am - 3:30 shift...gave me enough time with my small children when I got home from work. We were allowed to change jobs within the company as our seniority would allow which kept us from getting bored with the same job all the time. The wages were
excellent with overtime and great benefits.

Overall this company is a great fun place to be at. The employees there are nice and helpful once you settle in. This company offered great benefits. I actually loved my job there. I just wish management was more respectful towards their employees and recognized hard working employees.
