Good Place to work
Forklift Operator (Former Employee), Greensboro, NC – June 11, 2013
This is a very good place to work if you stay in the warehouse. The plant is very hectic and a very trying place. Overall a nice place to work.

Regressing as a company
Machine Operator (Current Employee), Canandaigua, NY – June 9, 2013
Used to be an excellent company to work for. however, low pay raises and mandatory overtime is starting to wear and tear on people. new management has hired more supervisors than production workers as of late

Gain Knowledge and experience
Transportation Coordinator (Current Employee), Huntersville, NC – June 1, 2013
Pros: holidays off
Cons: making sure everything is entered for the holiday and the day after
A typical day consists of building orders for the warehouse using citrix and send carriers tender sheets, enter information into the warehouse, check for short falls on product, communicate with our customer service department and carriers, advise customer service on product short falls, communicate with production plant on product producing and shipping, – more... coordinate with carriers on missed loads, or needing to expedite orders, maintain trailer pool for all warehouses, validate orders for Starbucks, coordinate date changes and product issues with Starbucks, communicate with Starbucks on missed orders and production short falls. Programs I have learned to use, SAP, Citirx, Cognos. The hardest part is staring at numbers all day and making sure that all orders are entered correctly into Citirx, along with checking on product short falls and communicating with production plants, the most enjoyable part is knowing at the end of the day that if everything is entered correctly everyone is happy and working with coworkers and carriers on a daily basis along with customer service. – less

Productive and creative work place
Operator 'A' .Preparing trays (Former Employee), Malvern, AR – May 23, 2013
Pros: rest periods: time to refresh, replenish, refocus
Cons: negative attitudes
On a typical day, wheather teaching or production my priority is
establishing goals and objectives for day, then communication
expectations to team-mates. The most difficult task is creating
synergy with the team, with everyone in their proper places giving
200% and producing a quality product or rendering excellent service.

General Sales Warehouse Associate (Former Employee), Woodridge, IL – May 13, 2013
Pros: met alot of nice people
Cons: managers
Unload trailers and take inventory of the product I learned to ride a stand up Forklift and also their system. Managers were rude all the time but other employees were great the hardest part about this job was staying busy and the best part about the job was working nights..

Managment
B Operator (Current Employee), Canandaigua, NY – April 29, 2013
Pros: bellis, maloy, walker, sheradin
Cons: all other managment
Pactiv would be a great place to work if Managment would work together. Most Sups., TL and NTL are just people that have been there for a long time and have become friend (cliques). Extreme high school drama! Upper Manangement has changed so much that who do you trust? HR is clueless. Bellis is on top of this place and is the 1 to go to! Do not think – more... the warehouse or the Tech Center is better than the plant. Bucklin and Bush are friends and without knowing anything but someone up high, they will bring this place down. Pactiv can not even keep a temp agency. Though, Sheradin dedicated her life to try to do things correctly. She made herself available anytime rather 11a or 11p. She was always here and sadly she is now left too. This could have been 1 of Pactiv's biggest mistakes. Keep the good and get rid of the bad! – less

Productive
Quality Control (Former Employee), Mount Carmel, PA – April 21, 2013
Pros: lots of overtime
Cons: 12 hour shifts
Every day was different. We handled quality issues as they happened and as fast and safely as we could. The hardest part of the job was being on my feet for 12 hours being pregnant. The most enjoyable was working with the people.

Run, do not walk, AWAY from this company
Target for Middle Management Hostility (Former Employee), Lake Forest, IL – April 20, 2013
Pros: good salary
Cons: poor training, horrible management, childish workers
From day one, I was given horrible training and poor tools to do my job. My supervisor hated me on sight and continued to make me miserable throughout my entire time there, up to and including my very last day. Not to mention, I worked on a team with individuals who would gleefully throw you under the bus if it suited them. They were always reporting – more... me to the boss for offenses I did not commit, who would never listen to me or believe me when I stood up for myself. I wish I had never accepted their offer of permanent employment. Red flags were all over the place, and I ignored every one of them. In the end, I wound up leaving extremely angry and bitter. In the end, completely not worth the stress and heartache. – less

Productive workplace
Extrusion Operator C (Current Employee), Frankfort, IL – April 17, 2013
Pros: healthcare and benefits.helping the company progress.
Cons: not enough hours.
Everyday typically I do the following;
Check Heats
Send resin
Drive Forklift
Troubleshoot any problems with extruder

The hardest part of my job would be threading the lines. The most enjoyable part would be knowing that I'm making quality products.

Great place to work if you have been in the military
Credit Analyst (Current Employee), Lake Forest, IL – April 11, 2013
Pros: on site workout, most management is pretty flexible with hours, cafeteria is okay and pretty cheap
Cons: new bottom lines since going private have caused a lot of micro management
Good enough place to work, no real complaints. Upper management really seem to value military experience above all else (I don't have that). Since going private all work has become micromanaged

Productive
Machine Operator (Former Employee), Covington, GA – March 29, 2013
Pros: long breaks
Cons: working night shifts
12 hour shift, inspect line, exchange information with the previous operator from the previous shift. Check schedule to see what product is suppose to be running. Fill out paperwork. Minor adjustments to line. Perform quality checks, inspect product. Set up line. I learned how to operate the surrounding lines and how to operate the machines. The co – more... workers became not only my friends but family. They are willing to lend a hand when they are available to. Will give you pointers on things to do and not to do. The hardest part of the job is working those 12hrs when your machine just won't run rite. And the most enjoyable part are the breaks and getting to work with people with great attitides. – less

Production Team Leader
Cup Group Leader (Former Employee), Chippewa Falls, WI – March 25, 2013
Pros: cheap purchase on bags and plates
Cons: poor managed, union slacked last few years, never re embursed for back pay.
Work was not very hard, worked in a union setting, managment was typically uneducated on machine functions and processes in plant.
And rarely cared to fix hazards until they became serious. Co workers worked hard depending on their seniority number. Loved working on and with machines and some of the people. Hated the lack of response from management,
