Packers Plus is the pioneer of open hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing and we provide technology-based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world. We are currently recruiting for a Purchaser to join our team at our Edmonton manufacturing facility.

Primary Role Focus

Responsible for sourcing components required for planned and project demands in a timely manner to ensure schedules are met

  • Reports to Purchasing Supervisor

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Determine priorities, schedules, initiate requests for quotations and issue purchase orders
  • Develop an understanding of supplier base and their capabilities
  • Upgrade Navision item cards including vendor information, pricing and historical information
  • Track orders to ensure they are on schedule and update system as required when changes occur
  • Monitor and expedite orders through to completion and update stakeholders as required
  • Maintain correct and accurate flow of information to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction is delivered to all stakeholders
  • Fulfill production orders for secondary processes
  • Work with Accounts Payable department to ensure all vendor invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner

Experience and skills

  • Previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with Navision or similar ERP system
  • Previous oil and gas experience an asset
