Packers Plus is the pioneer of open hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing and we provide technology-based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Edmonton manufacturing facility.

Primary Role Focus

Responsible for the corrective and preventive maintenance of Automated Assembly Equipment

  • Reports to Maintenance Supervisor

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for mechanical maintenance activities on machines and periphery equipment
  • Resolve faults and errors on machines
  • Re-teach robot and vision systems as required
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks
  • Lead and instruct equipment operators on required equipment maintenance
  • Evaluate machine fault history and develop action plans to resolve; update and correct position and sequence for machines as required
  • Assist with program updates to reflect assembly changes
  • Ensure dialogue on operator interface screen matches required updates
  • Assist in creating task guides and manuals
  • Provide assistance for the maintenance, calibration and upkeep of current pressure testing systems and Rams
  • Participate in all continuous improvement and troubleshooting workshops to improve assembly process, cycle time and part quality

Experience and skills

  • Previous experience with computer controlled equipment
  • Previous oil and gas experience and/or within Manufacturing environment an asset
  • Previous experience with robotics as asset
  • Knowledge of downhole tools an asset

  • Shift work, including weekends and on call
