About Us

We are a manufacturing company located in Richmond. We are looking for a professional, detail-oriented quality assurance technician to join our team.

General Responsibilities:

 *Proactively maintains a safe working environment focused on prevention and ensuring continued compliance with quality and food safe programs
 *Maintain complete and accurate records of QA documents
 *Verify production process records and follow up with operators daily
 *Document issues and concerns for the Senior Leadership Team
 *Maintain complete inventory record of hold and release program
 *Ensure high GMP standards through daily plant GMP audits; communicate deficiencies to quality manager; establish reports and trends of GMP audit
 *Assist in implementing Quality/Food Safety Programs and Standard Operating Procedures; adhering to quality programs and standards
 *Assists in handling customer complaints
 *Review SOPs as per management program
 *Manage non-conformance records (NCR) by issuing NCR’s and corrective actions
 *Assist in auditing our products and programs to ensure compliance with all company and customer standards
 *Assist in employees training
 *Other duties as assigned

Requirements
 *Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or college w
 *specialization in Food Science considered an asset
 *Knowledge of and experience with GMP, HACCP, and Global Food Safety Initiative Programs (GFSI – SQF, BRC etc.) and/or ISO
 *QA/QC experience in manufacturing, packaging, and/or distribution
 *Previous experience in the food industry an asset
