About Us

We are a manufacturing company located on Annacis Island in Delta. We are looking for a professional, detail-oriented quality assurance technician to join our team. The successful applicant will have food industry experience with some experience in setting up and monitoring quality systems.

General Responsibilities:

*Proactively maintain a safe working environment focused on prevention and ensuring
continued compliance with quality and food safe programs
*Assist in implementing Quality/Food Safety Programs and Standard Operating
Procedures; adhering to quality programs and standards
*Assist in auditing our products and programs to ensure compliance with all company
and customer standards
*Maintain complete and accurate records of QA documents
*Verify production process records and follow up with operators daily
*Document issues and concerns for the Senior Leadership Team
*Maintain complete inventory record of hold and release program
*Ensure high GMP standards through daily plant GMP audits; communicate
deficiencies to quality manager; establish reports and trends of GMP audit
*Assist in handling customer complaints
*Review SOPs as per management program
*Manage non-conformance records (NCR) by issuing NCR’s and corrective actions
*Assist in employee training
*Other duties as assigned

Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or college with specialization in
Food Science considered an asset
*Knowledge of and experience with GMP, HACCP, and Global Food Safety Initiative
Programs (GFSI – SQF, BRC etc.) and/or ISO
*QA/QC experience in manufacturing, packaging, and/or distribution
*Previous experience in the food industry an asset
