Position: Community Relations Coordinator (Job # 1402LTC)
Start Date: September 3, 2014
Hours: 40/week
Wage: $40,000/year + Travel
# of Positions: 2

Location: Southwestern Ontario & Niagara regions
Central, Central East & Northern Ontario regions

Description of Program & Responsibilities:

pt Health Seniors Wellness is a provider of physiotherapy and related services in long-term care, retirement, and community settings. As part of our community programming in partnership with several of Ontario’s Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), pt Health Seniors Wellness provides group programming for seniors including therapeutic exercise classes, falls prevention, and osteoporosis education and awareness. Our team is continually developing new programs and seeking opportunities to expand into new communities with the goal to aid in improving and maintaining the health of seniors.

Working closely with the Director of Business Development, the Community Relations Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Building strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders in various lines of business
  • Executing marketing activities to all accounts to increase client caseloads and brand awareness
  • Cultivating community contacts to increase awareness and collaborative business opportunities
  • Working with each account to ensure we are exceeding service delivery expectations
  • Working with the Operations team to address any additional needs or concerns
  • Managing a database and generating weekly reports
  • Participating in weekly meetings


The Community Relations Coordinator will:

  • Have a degree or diploma in communications, public relations or sales & marketing
  • Have previous experience in a community relations, client services, or a sales environment
  • Be able to travel throughout the assigned region/territory
  • Have a clear understanding of Client Service Excellence
  • Be a self-starter who is able to work independently
  • Be organized, and have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule
