A leader in the Healthcare Industry is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team. The BA will be responsible for working with both internal and external stakeholders in the development of requirements for new initiatives and providing on-going support for existing high value products/services. BA will act as intermediary between the business and the technical communities to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and
functional/conceptual design from which applications can be developed.

Key Responsibilities:
Gather information and synthesize findings into business/functional requirements and solution design documents;
Extract requirements using a variety of tools and techniques
Analyses and documents existing data, information and process flows, identifies opportunities, make recommendations regarding process and data flow changes, and participate in the solution definition and design
Writes requirements specifications according to standard template
Breakdown high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for: implementation by software development team and creation of test plans
Defines external interfaces, constraints, quality attributes and other non-functional requirements and ensures requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, unambiguous and verifiable
Works with team to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly
Assists with the change management process and performs impact assessment for applications change requests
Works with technical and customer support teams to clarify issues and problems reported by l users
Provides users with guidance and coaching on applications functionality
Lead small to medium size projects and coordinate project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
5 years of IT industry experience
3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Must be able to demonstrated experience with business process design and functional requirements definition
Knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle
Strong understanding of the methodologies and technologies that depict data and information flows within and between technology systems and business function / operations
Experience working with enterprise-level reporting, data analysis/mapping, and requirements
Experience working on a portal or web development team,
Experience with business process management, business intelligence applications, relational databases and experience in UML process and other requirements modelling techniques
Working knowledge of a variety of computer software, programming techniques, database design and reporting tools
