We are looking to hiring a full time Customer Service Representative to transact Automobile & Residential insurance. This is customer service not a sales job. Your job would be to care for and protect our clients by providing them suitable insurance products.
Candidate must enjoy working with people, be a team player, have basic computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft Word, be able to type 30 words per minute, and have two years customer service experience.
Our office hours are Monday –Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Candidate will be required to work two evenings per week and one Saturday per month. We pay overtime for the Saturday hours. Starting Wage is $ 12.50/Hour.

*Plezia Insurance Brokers*: is a family owned insurance brokerage, founded in 1982 by Ed Plezia. Our brokerage has 12 employees and is growing. We specialize in auto, home, business and life insurance. We also provide insurance for travel, seasonal properties, rental properties, watercraft, etc. We are proud members of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba and are actively involved in our community. We strive to provide our customers the highest level of customer service in our industry.
*Insurance licensing*: In order to service clients insurance needs you would need to be licensed through the Insurance Council of Manitoba. We would enroll you in a course to obtain your insurance license as well as your Insurance Work Station certification (Autopac). Most courses are held during office hours but you would be required to put in some of your own time to be successful. We would pay you during the training process.
*Continuing Education*: In order to maintain your insurance license you must obtain a minimum of eight continuing education credits a year. These credits can be obtained by taking courses that we would ask you to attend during office hours but once a year we would ask you to take a self study/evening course (C.A.I.B.) that would allow you to improve your overall insurance knowledge. These courses will allow you to obtain your level 2 insurance license. A level two insurance license allow you to supervise level 1 insurance broker and would increase your value to our organization. The courses we refer to would go toward your Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation. There are four courses in this program.
