Location: Vancouver, BC

Our client is a solutions engineering and product management organization with employees spanning eight locations globally. They are seeking a Product Manager with experience in Object Storage to work with senior leadership, product development teams, and key partners, taking full responsibility for the identification, definition, analysis, prioritization and ongoing refinement of product requirements.

In addition, the Product Manager will be expected to participate in and drive strategic decision making related to the overall product direction, competitive assessments response, development and ownership of our product roadmap.

About the Job

The Product Manager works with customers to identify requirements and product features. Also works with Usability Analysts, Software Architects, Project Managers, Hardware Teams, Engineering Managers and Directors, as well as other team members, to communicate those requirements to Agile development teams. The Product Manager will closely work with the development teams to elaborate those requirements and ensure successful translation into high-quality, commercially successful software.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Deliver outstanding, high quality products on time, on budget, with delighted customers and a happy team
Help shape the product and/or platform roadmap and define requirements
Spend time with users gathering feedback and new requirements on product increments
Write and maintain product user stories by performing business analysis, working with other team members to understand use cases, features and domain rules
Help prioritize User Stories, the product backlog and the release plan
Help bring requirements to the ‘ready' state prior to Sprint/Iteration commitments with appropriate documentation
Manage relationships of both customer, partner, and vendor s
Work with the Scrum Master/Project Manager and team members to improve team efficiency and effectiveness, manage risk, and deliver high value to customers and end users
Contribute to the development of product management and agile practices by sharing knowledge and learning
Education and Experience

A minimum of 6-8 years of product experience is required with 2+ years of experience as a product manager.

Experience in Storage Industry is essential
Experience with Object Storage technologies is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
BA/BS or equivalent experience, MBA is strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization skills; creativity and objective-oriented focus
