Title: Program Admin Support
Immediate Supervisor: National Director of Operations
Location: Canmore, AB office
Status: part-time (60% of full time)


  • Preparing staff contracts and managing hiring and orientation process for staff
  • Creating information and tracking systems to ensure effective and consistent systems that support the national program team and their staff
  • Provide general administrative support for field staff and program managers
  • Bring a professional, organized, human and caring presence to a national “virtual office” scenario
  • Track field staff payroll
  • Create contracts and manage paperwork related to staff hires
  • Work with program managers to develop an effective new employee orientation process
  • Create and maintain a system for tracking client contracts
  • Invoice clients upon contract completion
  • Schedule field communications technology (satellite phones, etc)
  • Take minutes at program-related meetings such as National Safety Committee
  • Other duties as assigned by National Director of Operations


  • 5+ years relevant, varied, and increasingly responsible administrative experience
  • Proven ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in an effective manner
  • Record of maintaining clear and effective communication patterns in a complex environment
  • In-depth knowledge of keyboarding and computers
  • Fluent in MS Office, database experience
  • Exceptional time management, problem prevention, and problem solving skills
  • “People person”: able to work with managers, instructors, and the public capably and tactfully
  • Exceptional at bringing order to chaos: organized and able to work effectively with minimum direction
