One of Ottawa's top real estate teams is looking for someone to fill the role of Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division for the team. The employer is looking for Ottawa’s best salesperson. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales and client service excellence. This position will allow the successful candidate to expand his/her experience and growth to his/her maximum potential and be compensated in kind.

The Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division, is an individual who will be responsible for the executive leadership of the property acquisition side of a busy residential real estate team while serving clientele at an exceptional level. This person is an individual who is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. He/she is an excellent leader within the organization, able to build a cohesive team of Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants who are united in their commitment to the team’s standards and to achieving the team’s goals. He/she has a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality. This person sees integrity in what they do and how they do it as something that is inalienable.

The Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division, will lead the buyer side of the team by hiring, training, consulting, and holding accountable all Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants. In addition, he/she will demonstrate on a daily basis the knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits of a high-achieving buyer agent who is committed to putting clients first, to doing the right thing, and to seeking win-win agreements.

The Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division prospects for leads daily, closes those leads to appointments, closes for agreements, and then conducts a high-level fiduciary needs analysis. At that point, he/she communicates the desired criteria to the Showing Assistant. The Showing Assistant will select homes that meet the criteria and will facilitate showings of the homes. The Showing Assistant will refine the criteria and close for contract offers. At that point, The Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division will negotiate the offer, write the contract, and oversee the deal through its close.

The Assistant Team Leader – Buyer Division, also demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate and regularly practicing sales scripts and dialogues. He/she is committed to investing in the people on the team and regularly provides them with learning and growth opportunities as well.

The primary objectives of the position are as follows:

 Hire, train, consult, and hold accountable all Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants
 Prospect for buyer leads, convert leads to appointments, close for agreements, and conduct high-level fiduciary needs analyses
 Oversee Showing Assistant in selecting homes that meet clients’ needs, identifying homes that best meet those needs, refining needs, and closing to contract offers
 Consult with clients to ensure fiduciary service of the real estate transaction from initial contact through contract to close
 Effectively negotiate, or oversee negotiations, for all buyers
 Develop expert knowledge regarding mortgage financing, neighbourhoods, schools, and all homeownership issues
 Devise and implement ongoing improvement in the systems and practices of the team especially as it concerns the buyer side of the business to enhance sales productivity and client experience

Job Requirements:

 Fluency in English is required. Fluency in French is appreciated.
 The candidate must possess a minimum of five years of sales or customer service experience with proof of excellence in the field such as awards, commendations or documented comparison showing the candidate’s proficiency relative to peers.
 The candidate must possess a high school diploma.
 The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
 The candidate must be able to maintain a professional appearance, including possessing professional, business attire.
 The candidate must be computer savvy. Of particular import is a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
 The candidate is NOT required to have a license to practice real estate in Ontario, but will be required to get one as part of training. The employer will pay for training and salary while the successful candidate obtains his/her license to practice real estate in Ontario.
 Management experience is an asset.

Candidates should be prepared for an extensive interview process, as the successful candidate may be interviewed up to four times prior to being hired.
