Orlick Industries Ltd is a leading supplier in the automotive marketplace, providing precision machined aluminum casting.

We have an immediate opening in a fast paced automotive manufacturing facility running multiple processes and shifts. If you are experienced in high volume OEM production environments, this will be an exciting opportunity. In addition to being a hands on leader who excels in production planning and scheduling, you will be a primary customer contact to address and resolve any outstanding issues or complaints.

As part of the management team, you will be a superior communicator with several years' management experience in automotive manufacturing. You will effectively and efficiently co-ordinate all plant-based activities that effect production.

Specific Responsibilities

. Maintain and improve quality of product by adherence to accepted production methods and procedures.

. Co-ordinate production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of product according to scheduled requirements.

. Facilitate, direct, and manage the activities of Production Supervisors, and co-ordinate all other support functions on the production floor.

. Champion the processes that determine the causes of scrap, rework, and direct labour variance and development of corrective actions to reduce them.

. Co-ordinate new product introductions with engineering to ensure as problem-free an introduction as possible.

. Maintain productive and informative relationships with production employees.

. Maintain functional relationship with all service departments to ensure necessary support.

. Maintain production costs within allotted budget. Achieve productivity and profitability standards and targets.

. Represent the company and make presentations to potential Customer and Company officials as required.

. Co-ordinate the effective and efficient placement of manpower within the operations group.

. Perform those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the facility, including provision for the selection and development of employees, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization and environmental goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the facility.

. Ensure all departmental personnel have received the required training and skills development to effectively perform their job. Formally evaluate departmental personnel on an annual, semi-annual and 'as required' basis.

. Encourage and develop a culture of continuous improvement and environmental awareness.


Education: University Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum 10 years manufacturing and/or production experience
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Automotive experience required
