If you're good at kissing a** this is your place to be
Surgical Coordinator (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 17 October 2014
Your first day of working there you will get feedback on how miserable everyone is. The turn over rate is astonishing. The pay is terrible especially with the expected workload that is given. Professionalism is only expected from the "lower group of employers" as management feels it is necessary to call them Mr. and Mrs. while they gossip to other employees about employees. Fabrication and misconstruing of information is rampant so make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. I was fired based on lies and even though I had evidence to support my claims they needed to get rid of someone who is educated and not willing to be submissive which is therefore seen as a threat. I have never worked for such a stressful, unappreciative, lackluster organization.
Great people to work with, excellent medical experience
Ophthalmic Technician (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 3 August 2013
OCC offers a great opportunity to achieve experience in a medical clinic. It's a place where you take your job seriously and not for a place for socialization. If you do your job well and right, you will earn a chance to move up and around in the company.
Ophthalmic Technician/Clinic Assistant (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 3 August 2013
If you do you're job right and you follow the rules of the company, you can learn a lot and will be given the opportunity to move around. It's not a place for chit-chat and being lazy. It's a very busy clinic and it will keep you busy.
