March of Dimes Employment Services is currently recruiting youth for a job placement program. This placement initiative is designed for youth (over 19 and under 30) who are having difficulty finding employment and/or have employment barriers or disabilities. The program involves 5 weeks of job skills training and a 14 week placement with an employer of interest (with the expectation of permanent employment afterwards). A program designed to help Youth Achieve Employment Success!
Participants will receive:
-Resume development and job search assistance, geared towards your career goals
-Paid Job Readiness Training and Skills Development
-16 week Paid Placement (with the expectation of permanent employment afterwards)
-at least minimum wage (Employers receive 10.25/hr. up to 30 hrs./wk.)
-Training courses: Standard First Aid & CPR, WHIMIS, Food Safety, Smart Serve
-Skills assessment, on the job support, job coaching
-Program completion bonus
This program provides assistance to youth with employment barriers who are having difficulty finding work. Participants will learn job success skills and have the opportunity to apply these skills in the workplace with the goal of maintaining competitive employment.
