Reporting to the Manager, Test & Measurement and Software
The Software Developer will be involved in the development of software and data analysis tools from multiple applications gathering data from different test stations.
The main Software Developer responsibilities are:
Write, test and document code for a wide range of applications.
Write C# software to process and analyze data from different test equipment.
Write software to analyze, view and process large amounts of data.
Write software to generate reports, provide help in creating tools for data analysis.
Assist in designing database components.
Write software to interface with the database.
Write ASP.NET and C# software on a web portal, to report different data analysis.
Develop algorithms to test opto-electronic devices in cooperation with engineers from different R&D teams.
Work in cooperation with the different R&D teams to develop and test different reporting tools.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with at least five years of directly relevant experience (graduate studies can be counted as experience).
Strong experience and skills in C# is a requirement, experience with MS Visual Studio, database design, as well as knowledge of SQL. Experience with .NET, NHibernate, ASP.NET, AJAX, Dojo, MS SQL, MS Visual Studio, VB, Matlab, LabView, Excel, Subversion or other version control systems, will also be an asset.
The candidate must be a team player and must also be able to work with minimal supervision. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be comfortable multi-tasking on several projects all at once.
