Looking for a new job since new manager hired. Short staffed with no intentions of bringing on more. Doubled the work load allowed the department to dwindle to half the employees.

Great people and place to work. Always something to get involved in and always something to learn. They hire a lot of young professionals that are some of the smartest in their fields.

A well run company that took good care of its employees
Billing Analyst (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TX8 August 2017
I worked in the billing department where I would handle integrating several recently acquired software tools and transitioning current customers to the new system. I would handle customer questions and complaints over the phone and through email. I was also in charge of creating training documentation for the new software.

Great Experience until it wasn't
Business Development Associate (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TX5 July 2017
It was great experience working with great people and working for a reputable brand. Towards the end of my tenure we hired on a Manager that imminently lowered moral and did not value workers. Issues were brought to upper management and HR but nothing was done. Was eventually reprimanded and let go based on "performance issues" regardless of being a top 3 performer for the department. Not valued and expendable culture. Was once a hidden gem that i would rave about, but turned sour once new management took over.
Pros
Compensation, co-workers
Cons
Management, Hr, no recognition for hard work

Advice to Management
--Tighten the loop between the sample development and sales to facilitate panel growth
--Improve programs for traffic/sample partners so that compensation at least matches the industry standard

IT Technical Support Logistics (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TX24 June 2017
I worked here for almost a year. Never had any issues pertaining to the job itself. Management is very helpful with anything you need. Advancement is an option to any department if a position is avail. Although given that they rarely became avail while I was there, management and your trainer will still groom you to be more than ready when that time comes.
Pros
Nice atomosphere
Cons
Rare Advancement- but it can happen

Great job for fresh college graduates
Anonymous (Current Employee) –  Anonymous20 June 2017
Your fresh out of college and ready to make an impact to the world and apply your skills that you acquire in those restless hours of studying and meeting project deadlines from that annoying professor. You get an email and you have been accepted to begin a new chapter of your life. You have been train slightly on the product you will be selling to customers and are told you will be trained continuously to improve. Well not at this company those suggestions, ideas, referrals you have willing to share most likely get credited by someone else or ignore by upper management. The job role is easy and the coworkers are willing to help you succeed but sadly upper management will careless about your ideas because you are just fresh out of school. The oppurtunity to grow in this company is low, there is flexibility but only to certain folks. My suggestion is to keep looking many departments in the company are having issues. Communication between different departments have been a factor that are leading it to a final phase.

IT Manager (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TX8 June 2017
Management will give you alot of flexibility and they do not micromanage you. However, you will not be paid well, you will have no opportunities for advancement, and the equity company is putting the pinch on every financial part of the company.

This place isn't terrible, but it's definitely a dead end.
Pros
Free Coffee
Cons
No promotions, raises, bonuses

Network Operations Specialist (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TX17 February 2017
Omnitracs was purchased from Qualcomm by an investment firm. They cut away most of the experienced employees and hired fresh college grads. They've all but eliminated bonuses and opportunities to advance.

They are currently very top heavy with C levels who do not understand the business they are running. Most of the remaining management that came over after the purchase are great and doing their best with what resources are given.

Not a great place to work. Jobs are going away!
Environmental Hardware Test Engineer (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CA23 November 2016
Not a great place to work. It seems like the company is moving San Diego site away. There is a low morale and every year we are losing more benefits. Middle management is good since it is the original Qualcomm team that directed the company for many years. Top management have their mind already set to shut the site down eventually.

None

Low morale. Not great benefits

It is a fast pace company, but the working environment is very nice. The products are very good and I was proud to be part of a company that cares about safety and helps keep truck drivers in check.

It's Alright
Systems Integration & Test Engineer (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TX3 September 2016
Overall the company isn't bad to work for. You get the exact 40 hour weeks you expect with decent benefits to boot. The worst thing is that HR doesn't help. Some of the newer folks make more and HRs policy is "tough luck, you can quite and come back to make me". Opportunities for advancement are scare because they have quotas. Such as 9 people in engineering get promoted every 6 months out of the 200 people on the floor.
Pros
Train Pass is Paid for, wonderful view, coworkers are amazing
Cons
HR and upper non-engineering management appears to want to save money any way they can
