Okanagan Plant Improvement Corporation (PICO) is a variety rights management company that licenses new varieties of tree fruits and berries domestically and internationally.
PICO is seeking the services of an experienced Horticultural Research Co-ordinator to coordinate the implementation of special projects focused on the development and commercialization of new varieties of tree fruits crops. *Detailed position description is available @ www.picocorp.com
You will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture (horticulture), plant sciences, resource management or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
You require experience in the tree fruit production practices, the collection and analysis of technical data and preparation reporting, planning, coordinating and delivering of projects. Must comply with reporting and accountability; communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written. Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Earth)
You must possess a valid driver’s license.
