Employment History Fork Lift Driver (Former Employee), Summerville, SC – November 29, 2012
Pros: days off with pay.
Cons: healthcare
A typical day at ohl consist of getting to work and preparing the devanners to unload containers. Containers are mostly twenty foot containers with 40,000 pounds of coffee that has to be put on pallets and stored away in locations that are called lots. The hardest part about the job was stacking certain kinds of coffee that came in real tight burlap – more... bags. These bags stack to high for a regular lift so we would have to use a ten thousand pound lift to stack. This takes alot of skill with using your equipment. – less

productive workplace
Loader/Unloader (Former Employee), Plainfield, IN – November 28, 2012
Pros: free lunch once a month
Cons: short breaks
I would come in to see my supervisor for a meeting. I would fill out a inspection sheet for my equipment. After everything is ok with forklift I would get my order and begin loading or unloading. Throughout the day sometimes I would get pulled to do another assignment. Such as; case picking, put away, audit, or wrapping. Long hours but good pay. Learned – more... a lot about shipping, receiving, and put away. Very great company. – less

Negative environment and poor working conditions.
Lead (Former Employee), sparks, nv – November 13, 2012
Pros: decent pay after hired permanent, ability to move up(but not much room for promotion after becoming a supervisor)
Cons: negative environment, unprofessional and unethical employees, health ins
Most unprofessional place I've worked for. Immature people on so many levels. Warehouse lacks team oriented mentality especially supervisors with other depts supervisors, and are unprofessional. It creates a chaotic and negative environment. Upper mgmt implies strict rules and regulations but not with everyone. Different rules for different people. – more... Upper mgmt doesn't give recognition to employees. Verbal warnings and points accrued are common (depending on the supervisor) and awards to undeserving employees. Also not a family oriented company.
The potential of a great environment is there if mgmt treated employees better (i.e recognition, better working conditions, coffee, water) as well as supervisors working well with other sups creating a positive team oriented environment as a whole account. The rules and ethical standards should be applied to everyone as well. – less

Applications Operations Manager (Current Employee), Nashville, TN – November 5, 2012
Pros: experienced workers
Cons: lack of development
Typical day includes weekly meetings on any new or existing issues with current clients. Meet on any new implementations, to gather information on development work.

Very relaxed setting, no micro management. This allows each team member to focus on his/her work instead of constant updates to Executives.

Pros: easy job
Cons: no break room, no fridge, ants everywhere

Long shifts but decent spacing in breaks.
Picker/Packer (Former Employee), Plainfield, IN – September 11, 2012
Pros: half hour lunch
Cons: low workload on isolated days made a 12 hour shift stretch out.
Retrieve an rf scanner and find all the orders on the list. Sort of like a daily treasure hunt.
-skills learned: picking/packing
-hardest part of the job would be correcting a mistake made with the rf scanner.
-most enjoyable was the competition of which picker could get the highest number by the end of the work week.
-co-workers were generally laid – more... back humorous people – less

Okay work place with good co-workers
Account Lead (Former Employee), Chambersburg, PA – June 19, 2012
Pros: some co-workers
Cons: management, floor supervisors, long hoours and very little pay
It was an okay place to work but the management and floor supervisors were really nasty and mean to most of the employers. They were only nice to the ones that they liked and really got along with. They had their fav. and really did not care about the rest of the employers.
