Quality Assurance Intern, Montréal, QC - 28 March 2016
My first day working at Oceanwide I was placed in the quality assurance team. I was one of the few interns in a large office space, and the only one in my group. After my first summer consisting mostly of training and testing for bugs, I took on a larger role where I would write down procedures for test plans. The hardest part of my job was getting adjusted to the different softwares. There was a lot to read however, through practice and repetition the manual testing became routine. I then would write procedures for the manual testing out for coworkers so that they can see how the tests were being done. The most enjoyable part of my job was participating in group meetings and going over day to day tasks with my coworkers. What I really loved about working there was how I felt like an employee and not just a summer intern.
