Full-Time English Communication Specialist

You:
You are a highly motivated English language professional with superior organizational skills. You have at minimum a teaching certificate combined with at least 5 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, preferably teaching adults. You also have experience teaching test preparation for English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, MELAB, etc. A background associated with nursing and/or health care would be a tremendous asset, but is not required.

You are looking for a position that can not only provide you with a good income, but one that also gives you greater self-fulfillment by helping others to succeed. You have a great openness and understanding to foreign cultures. You can also appreciate an atypical schedule as opposed to a regular "9-5'r".

If this describes you, we want to hear from you today!

Responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
-Providing effective classroom instruction for students enrolled in English courses at OMNI College
-Working closely with other English, as well as Nursing, instructors to ensure a consistent teaching approach
-Conducting classroom assignments and exams
-Being responsible for the grading, record-keeping and progress reports of each student enrolled in his/her class.
-Contributing towards existing curriculum and lesson-plan development
-Meeting with the students on an individual basis to gauge progress and skill level
-Encouraging self-confidence in students and providing them with the support they need during their learning experience
