The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to support the Divisional Manager and team in managing a portfolio of clients across a diverse industry base. You will be involved with assisting SME finance departments with finance functions. This includes implementing processing and reporting efficiencies, delivering timely and accurate financial management information to relevant stakeholders to improve business growth and implementing key strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for assisting SMEs and acting as the key liaison on technical MYOB accounting queries. You will manage the preparation and lodgment of client BAS/IAS returns, assist with preparing annual strategic plans and budgets for client portfolio, performing ASIC and company secretarial matters for clients, liaising with ATO, OSR, ASIC and other government bodies and providing accounting information for FBT and annual tax planning process.

You:
Will ideally have at least 2-3 years experience in a commercial accounting, audit or business tax and advisory chartered role and must have completed an Accounting Degree/Certificate (Commerce/Finance. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and you will be a team player who is able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. MYOB accounting application knowledge is also essential.
