NOVA Montréal is a non-profit charitable organization that has been providing community health care to Montrealers since 1898. We are dedicated to identifying needs and filling gaps in the health care system. For example, we recently developed a service to provide desperately needed in-home respite for parents coping with the challenges of 24-hour care of their chronically ill or disabled pre-school age children.
NOVA Montréal is there to help with the ever-increasing needs of the frail elderly, and to help people cope with the long-term effects of arthritis, strokes, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, or other situation resulting in a loss of autonomy for an individual. Trained and compassionate support workers provide home support services. Our goal is to enable those in need to maintain their independence at home in secure and familiar surroundings for as long as possible.
We provide specialized home nursing care and support for families of individuals in the terminal phase of cancer. Our dedicated nurses are available on a 24 hour, seven-days a week basis. – less
