An opportunity exists for the position of project manager at our construction firm. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for business development activities, management and coordination of residential, commercial projects. You will be the prime contact on your projects with the clients and will use your technical and leadership abilities to lead a project team of designers and others. Successful candidate will possess carpentry skills and must have a working knowledge of CAD design system and Google Sketchup Pro (Preferably but not mandatory). Must be able to take charge and demonstrate the ability to manage projects and clients. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing work programs, proposals, budgets, cost estimates and schedules for projects. Over seeing projects through completion from preliminary design, detailed design to tendering and construction. Directing staff and participating directly in the completion of projects. Liaising with all those who are involved in the process such as architects, designers, engineers and trades. Ensuring that the client's needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner. Invoicing, collecting and other financial management responsibilities. Assisting with staffing and other administrative functions. Assisting in the development of others.
