My exposure in US HR and Payroll have been enhanced in terms of understanding the process of payroll intensively. The company promotes work-life balance and the management makes sure that employees get the benefits they are entitled for. The critical part of being a payroll specialist is being able to beat the deadlines especially in submitting payroll files to the bank for the employees to get their pay on time. Nevertheless, we have never failed in this part of processing on-cycle payroll in a timely manner. We make sure to do off-cycles as necessary and be able to pay what the employees expecting to get for their payroll. The main challenge is for our interface team to complete data loading of employee time sheets and all other administrative files submitted by the HR Supervisors at least a day before the scheduled payroll processing. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to experience how to process payroll for the employees and the ability of analyzing any payroll issues that may arise along the process. – less
