This program is for both the Foundational student and the Apprentices seeking all levels of technical training leading to Journeyperson and Red Seal Interprovincial certification.
Reporting to the Dean of Trades Apprenticeship &Technology, The successful candidate will instruct to the Industry Training Authority of BC (ITA)curriculum outline and Red Seal standards as related to the Apprenticeship and Foundation programs.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a valid BC and Inter-provincial Certificate of Qualification in Instrumentation. Experience in the Oil and Gas and Gas Process industry would be an asset as well as experience with curriculum development. Experience teaching adults and high school Dual Credit learners is preferred. Other combinations of credentials and experience may also be considered.
Successful candidate will be required to begin the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program within the first 9 months of employment, unless otherwise determined qualified.
Salary" $ 34.42- $42.89 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.
