DUTIES: This position provides administrative support to the V.P. Community, Business Development and Employment Services and the Apprenticeship, Workforce Development and Training Division team by assisting in the development, implementation, delivery, evaluation, and follow-up of courses, brokered services, special projects, and sponsored and employer-based training programs. The incumbent prepares, maintains and processes documentation and makes arrangements which will ensure that courses, services, projects, and programs run smoothly and according to guidelines and contracts; the above duties enable the College to fulfil its mission of providing client-oriented, quality education and training.
The position provides administrative support for the Training Consultant and liaises with internal staff from various departments, instructors, and prospective and current clients, students, employers, sponsoring agencies, and the general public.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirements: Two year diploma in Office Administration or equivalent and a two years of relevant experience. Highly developed organizational skills and proficiency working with computer software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases and management information systems experience are required in this position. Proof of valid WHMIS/WHMIS Review card is a requirement for employment with Northern College.
