Reporting to the Campus Manager in Kirkland Lake, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring activities related to placement and incentives offered through Employment Services.

You will deliver Employment Options Emploi program assisted services: Job Matching, Placement and Incentives, Job/Training Retention, and the Youth Employment Fund. Imbedded in all components are service decisions, monitoring, service coordination and referrals. You will be required to deliver workshops to the clients and the community as required utilizing your communication and computer skills.

In addition, your duties will include program marketing, participant and employer recruitment, pre-screening, intake and assessment, training plan development, job matching and placement of participants, file documentation, statistical collection, evaluation and follow-ups.

Education and Credentials:

  • two year Office Administration Executive, Business and/or Marketing Diploma
  • a combination of relevant education and/or work experience may be considered


  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • excellent presentation and customer service skills


  • minimum one year of relevant work and/or program experience


  • proficiency in both English and French, verbal and written, is required

Proof of valid WHMIS/WHMIS Review card is a requirement for employment with Northern College.
