We are currently looking for a Speech Language Pathologist with experience in acquired communication disorders to work at the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre. The role of the SLP involves screening, assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke. Provision of weekly individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions and support to volunteers working with clients is part of this role, as well as collaboration with other SLPs in acute care and the community. Experience with aphasia therapy and augmentative and alternative communication would be an asset.
The successful applicant will have a degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized University program and be registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of B.C.
This is a part-time job, 10 months/year, 26 hours/week.
