Reporting directly to the CEO and Board Members, the Director of Media Relations is responsible for closely collaborating with the Non-Profit Organization’s clients and stakeholders in order to identify PR opportunities, with the objective of aggressively building and fostering membership.
Must be able to think strategically and illustrate strengths in planning and executing PR programs, so to raise and develop public awareness of the Manufacturing Sector in the Province of British Columbia.
The candidate must prove to be quality driven. The candidate will be required to continuously manage and promote the Non-Profit Organization’s brand.
Primary Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
The Director of Media Relations position requires exceeding client management skills, and must actively engage, cultivate and implement strategic media relations, developing relationships with targeted external audiences, including media and key influencers to ensure coverage for client programs and other projects.
The Director of Media Relations must be able to construct creative planning and continuously develop and execute progressive PR program concepts for clients: drafting written materials, including but not limited to proposals, presentations, press kits, releases and pitch letters as well as other PR and client-focused marketing related activities.
The chosen candidate will possess the capacity to carry out strategic plans to advance the company’s vision, mission and objectives, as well as to dramatically expand membership.
Desired Skills And Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 plus years of proven and solid PR experience, strong management and exceptional communication skills.
PR experience in a business environment combined with notable knowledge of social media platforms are strongly desired.
Candidates must be extremely personable – extroverted – as the Director of Media Relations will act as the “face” of the Non-Profit Organization.

Salary: $50,000 Plus (Dependent on Experience)
