Great place to work!
Warehouse (Current Employee), Feura Bush NY – June 7, 2013
Pros: free coffee, free water, spaced out breaks throughout the day.
NFI is a great place to work that is ethnically diverse, with exceptional management. Plenty of helpful employees to train new hires. The work atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and overall I enjoy working there.

The worse company to work for you better be a dishwasher
Driver (Former Employee), Nazareth PA Trader joes account – May 15, 2013
Pros: good equiptment sometimes because they change u truck every week
Cons: managment awful, hostile work place, equipment brakedown often etc
I worked at nazareth terminal and its the most hostile work place I've work in my life they treat you like an slave and the dispatcher are a bunch of people who doesnt know a thing about trucsk and they boss you around ,the managment and safety managment it careless and they do not hear anybody or listen to anybody they are awfull. bad bad bad they – more... fire me and the only reason they gived me was because pallet jack broked during unloading.the real reason its because I find out the they do the same runs a bunch of times and charged Trader Joes 5 times for the same run I did not play that game, because Im not a thief and guess what I got fired simple as that. they have a mafia a way to steal from the companies they got load from. I feel bad for trader joes. they have the worse trucking company transporting their goods – less

Decent job, but not for everyone
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee), Muskogee, OK – May 6, 2013
Pros: 48 hour work weeks every week when i worked there, benefits were not too bad either
Cons: 12 hour shifts can drag out if they are not busy, too much overhead, getting a yearly raise can be a kick in the daddybags, $0.15 raise for a year of busting your butt is a poor morale booster
There is a limited amount of job security, they warehouse paper products for Georgia Pacific. Everyone needs toilet paper, right?

They have the classic symptoms of an employer that is incorporated, too much overhead, people with no labor experience attempting to make rules and regulations for those who do the labor (some are great and/or necessary, – more... some....not so much). Profit-focused companies bother me. I understand everyone needs to profit, but when it is your ONLY focus, it is an issue. – less

stressfull enviroment dead end job
Driver (Current Employee), Nazareth PA – April 19, 2013
Pros: not good
Cons: average hourly calculated at 13 ph
I currently work out of the Nazareth PA T/J Whse as a driver and I must say the job is fine , the pay is ok but as far as benefits NOT GOOD !
as far as management goes its very poor they treat their drivers like kaka and god forbid you complain about it they will fire you asap, some a union could stop but thats wishful thinking.
Latin drivers are not – more... treated equally and many have gotten fired for minor things.
Long story short, this is the kinds of job to have while you find something better. not recomended for long term.
This company get away with a lot of unfair labor violations but everyone is afraid of speaking out only because they fear of management retaliation. 'Getting Fired'not to mention how hard it is to find a new job.
They offer quarterly indian given bonuses that when bonus time is near , management goes out of their way to make sure you loose it.
now thats low but hey drivers need to get together and contact the labor board and let them know what is going on.
Trucks are governed at 62 MPH but I wonder if they paid us by the hour would they still have their trucks governed !
NO OT , NO BENEFITS , POOR MANAGEMENT TOWARDS EMPLOYEES ! without us hard workers company wouldnt be around but yet we all get mistreated !! – less

The majority are women and they boss the men around.
Picker (Former Employee), Champlain, NY – March 1, 2013
Pros: close proximity for a warehouse for employment
Cons: management and full time employee abuse of temp and seasonal workers
I thought this place would be nice to work. I performed my job with the utmost integrity. I had trouble clocking in to work. Especially with their fingerprint scanner: some days it would read my print, some not. I did not like being told to wrap two small skids for a female employee who could bend down herself to wrap her own skids. I was told by a – more... female employee that I would not be there long. I was told by two female employees to lift a 50 lb. box for them. They know the job requires them to lift up to 50 lbs. I was told by a female employee to go to the other end of the warehouse and break down her boxes. I was being spyed on by a female employee three ailes down. I was told to staple boxes for the packers one day, only these two pallets of boxes are not the type to be stapled. My name was constantly requested on the speaker to "the podium". I was their man who would pull their loaded skids to the loading dock. I was not introduced to the automatic wrap machine until 2 weeks into employment. I wrapped skids manually. I worked hard for them last summer in a confined warehouse. I was asked if I wanted to clean their bathrooms too and get paid nothing but my regular hours. I do not want to go back to this Company ever. I know what the difference is between carrying other employees on my back and working diligently as a team player. These women and the female supervisor try to see how far they can get a male to do there work. – less

HORRIBLE COMPANY
Shipping Clerk / Customer Service (Former Employee), Chino, CA – February 22, 2013
Pros: meeting a few good people. and working in an industry i loved
Cons: no breaks. horrible co workers, company bullies people
I worked for this company almost 2 years. They dont give you breaks, They ask you to clock out for lunch but ask that you continue to work through your lunch..as long as you clocked out they wouldnt take a "ding" They made me work 13+ hours with no breaks, and would get mad if i DID take a break. also weekends often. I dont mind the weekends or working – more... the OT. As long as im paid for the hours, which there was more than one issue with my pay for the OT pay. They ran it like a sweat shop. We couldnt talk to our fellow co workers because it brought "production" down. If we talked we were told multiple times to stop and go back to our desks. They hire illegals.

I took a medical leave, and was harrassed through it. Head of HR called my dr, and argued my condition and demanded a drs note from my dr because NFI didnt "believe" i was sick , which i was told by an office co worker of mine. Head of HR broke privacy laws. I was prank called by employees, and intimidated on countless occasions about my employment due to my medical leave. I was adventually fired due to my medical condition. I complained to the Head of HR about the harrassment and that my return to work was going to be rough, due to them pranking me, and being upset that i took a medical leave. She said "well you left abruptly, they are upset"

on one occasion they messed up on my OT pay, and tried to negoiate with me, offering me a day off, instead of paying me. I was never paid for the OT and never given the day off. I asked to get paid, my boss said they would cut me a seperate check.

The hardest part of this job, Is the bullying from co workers. If they dont like you, they make your every day a living hell. No breaks. It is a fast paced enviorment. Coverage is never there. I learned a lot about the transportation industry. What to do on an overweight load. how to use Accuplus software, Fourtsite software. had a GREAT relationship with the drivers that came in. I had regulars. I LOVED what i did. I HATED working with the people i worked with. – less

No Over Time Pay & They condone harassment.
Mechanic (Former Employee), Worcester, MA – November 28, 2012
Pros: pretty nice equipment as far as maintenace (mechanic)
Cons: no waves, no time and a half after 40
I worked for them for a very short period. I reported that I was assaulted by another employee and after a very short investagation they decided to keep us seperated. 1 week went by and the district manager said I made to many waves for the company and get your tools and leave. At will employee .HaHa. They were payinfg more then the shop foreman that – more... assaulted me. So they don't care how long you work there or what you have to bring to the table. – less

Carefull!!!
Driver (Former Employee), Newark, NJ – November 19, 2012
Pros: great place to get your driving career started
Cons: not for seasoned drivers looking for a serious check.
I worked for the company out of newark NJ for three months. They ask for too much! 62 mph iddled trucks; 80 lbs max weight every single load, enough miles (37cpm). average 270 miles a night. I asked to be put long haul... i got one week out one week dedicated not a stable pay check average. Qualcom log books and always looking for drivers because no – more... one really stays for a long time they always quit for good reason.

Top reason: NOT ENOUGH INCOME EARNED ON WEEKLY BASIS. – less

Busy, good people to work with
Operations Manager (Current Employee), Chino, CA – November 7, 2012
Pros: busy, plenty of work.
Cons: company doesnt care about your personal life
Facility that I was at was very busy, I learned that not everyone has the same work ethic. For the most part everyone there wants to succeed, the hardest part was getting everyone to work towards the same goal. The most enjoyable part was making friends and enjoying your work.

Very Productive and Fast Paced, but underpaying
Weekend Shift Leader/Warehouse Lead (Former Employee), New Concord, OH – October 1, 2012
Cons: shows little to no employee appreciation and the benefits can't get any worse.
I gained my experience from 10 years of experience and hard working dedication, only to see that NFI didn't like long term-tenured employees. My ending position was the most exciteable position, which was a LEAD/Supervisor position. This position allowed me to work and develope a crew that excelled and delivered a very strong productive reward for NFI. – more... By me doing so, I eliminated my position. – less

Very fun place to work, not good for job security
Selector (Former Employee), NY – October 1, 2012
Pros: awesome co workers
Cons: no work/ layoffs
Nfi is an amazing place to work if you are looking for a fast pace workplace. The co-workers are fun and enjoyable. You can defiantly make close friends if you are looking for more then just a job. There is a downfall thou, advancement and job security is really hard. There is only work for the busy season which is from July to September and then after – more... that you are going to get laid off. And it doesn't matter how hard you work because you still aren't going to make full time. – less
