NEXTalent is currently recruiting for a Regional Director of Project Management, on behalf of our a client, an international, full service real estate services company. This position is located in Eastern Ontario: Ottawa or Kingston area.

The Regional Director (RD) is responsible for the leadership, management, vision and direction of the project management team; meeting all contract obligations and deliverable's, focused on achieving the client’s goals and objectives through effective project management including construction (new, relocation and renovation), management, capital planning and execution.. You will be responsible for the project management and management of our client’s needs, managing high volume of projects, overseeing a team of approximately 15 - 20 people.

Manage and oversee all aspects of complex and multi-faceted real estate projects through all phases of design, permitting and construction while meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines
Provide leadership for regional site project management through the managing, coordinating and development of staff and third party managers/contractors.
Operate with independence and minimal supervisor as the principal project representative for the region
Monitor progress and ensure the expectations concerning the quality, timeliness and financial goals of the work are met and/or exceeded
Actively drive the team’s strategy, structure, processes, and operating norms to deliver on client expectations
Perform a variety of real estate and construction management tasks requiring application of specific industry related techniques and knowledge
Successfully Manage, mentor and supervise a large team
Oversee the planning, budget, coordination and programing process on all projects within the region
Adhere to all corporate standards, policies and contractual agreements
Develops annual budgets and oversees monthly reporting and project reporting to ensure budget adherence
Interacts with governmental branches and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with all applicable legal requirements and regulations
Hires, manages and develops staff.
Must be experienced in project management in Eastern Ontario or similar environment

Bachelor of Engineering,Construction, Architecture or related field
Advanced degree in Business/Management/Finance or Construction would be ideal
Minimum 10 years experience in the direct management of large, complex real estate projects
Must have project management experience and management experience in Eastern Ontario
Strong people management experience and experience managing large teams
An understanding and ability to manage multiple, small and large projects at one time versus singular large projects
High level of integrity
Financial and budgetary development and management experience for complex projects
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Ability to work well under pressure and to work independently
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong leadership skills
Superior communication skills
Certified PMP required
