Position Title: IT Support Administrator Number of Position(s) Available: 1
Hours of Work: Work Schedule to be determined. 8 AM to 7 PM
Type of Work: Full Time
Rate of Pay: 30k-40k annually, + benefits

Summary of Duties:

  • Provide both Enterprise and Solution support to a growing and diverse user base by receiving, prioritizing and actively resolving local and remote end user help requests
  • Maintain monthly server maintenance across seventy plus servers as well as additional workstations and peripheral equipment including printers, media players and other devices
  • Monitor and maintain network availability while protecting against potential threats (viral, spam, malware, etc.)
  • Maintain nightly backups and ensure maximum readiness for business continuity is achieved
  • Maintain records of installations and equipment configurations; develop and update support documentation
  • Work with other team members, vendors and clients to ensure user and customer needs are met
  • Assist the Project Team with new builds and launches and provide hardware support where needed
  • Assist in the on-call after hour’s support of client sites as part of the Solutions Team
  • And any other duties as may be directed by the IT Solutions Manager

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary certificate/diploma in Computer Science
  • Two years of desktop/user support experience
  • Windows XP & 7, Server 2003/08 Operating Systems and software support experience
  • Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery processes
  • Basic to Moderate PC Hardware skills and experience
  • Very good customer service skills
  • Ability to self-manage workload
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Routing and networking, virtualization, Citrix Meta frame, Terminal services and SQL skills and experience are an asset
  • Fluent written and spoken English required, Bilingual French language skills also an asset
