Manufacturiner (Former Employee), OH – June 17, 2013
Pros: 2 breaks and lunch
Cons: manditory overtime whenever mandated
-I started off my day by finding out what machine I was on (they have over 200). I went on break about every 3 hours and I worked 12 hour shifts.
-I learned that working 12 hours isn't bad.
-Management was lenient.
-My co-workers were friendly.

Hand Packer (Former Employee), Shelbyville, TN – June 15, 2013
A typical day at work consisted of hand packaging items. Management was great. Most co-workers were great. Hardest part of the job was the heat and standing in one spot on concrete for 10 hours. Most enjoyable part of my job was learning something new, new experience, meeting new people and keeping busy and productive.

Reptitive Job
Production Worker (Former Employee), Winchester, VA – June 14, 2013
Working at Rubbermaid wasn't too bad at first. But there is a lot of favoritism shown to certain employees, and that's not right. I was satisfied with how things were ran/managed. A lot of people do absolutely nothing and are getting paid the exact same rate that people who are busting there butts working.

Collaborative and rewarding consumer products company
Associate Engineer, R&D (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – June 11, 2013
Pros: open office, collaborative, good research and insights
Cons: family benefits, little ability to move freely within company
Newell Rubbermaid is a collaborative and open-office environment. Heavily focused on teamwork and cross-functional communications to move new products through its own stage gate process. Most enjoyable part of the job was research and development and different laboratories involved to bring product through the design and development process. Rewarding – more... to see an end-consumer product out in the market place. – less

Pros: international role, trips, working in english and german
Cons: quick strategic changes, no explanation
As European HR director, I had a dayly phone call with local HR.
I implemented an HR European structure with common processes. Periodic meetings with the person I reported to (video conf from US).
Management of a big social plan (400 people impacted) with unions.
Recruitment of top managers (marketing, sales and IT)
Most enjoyable part of job was team – more... work with so many different cultural team and reporting to US.
Hardest part was the negotiation with unions related to 400 redundant positions. – less

Shipping Order Picker (Current Employee), Union City, GA – May 28, 2013
I start my day in a early morning meeting to asset what need to be done for the day.. But if need i fill in any other areas of the building to apply as much help as needed.

Factory Worker (Former Employee), Shelbyville, TN – April 30, 2013
Pros: easy consistent work
Cons: short breaks
the most enjoyable part of Sanford is staying so busy. It makes the time go by that much faster in between breaks. I learned time management skills, consistency, and that I could push myself further than I thought I could.
