Newcom Business Media, producer of trucking publications and trade shows is seeking a bilingual sales representative to join our show division. Reporting to the Show Manager, the sales representative plays a key role in selling exhibit space for 2 biennial truck shows, Truck World and ExpoCam.

Position: Bilingual Inside Sales Representative
(10 month contract that can transition to permanent full time)
Location: Toronto
Reporting to: Show Manager
Start date: July 2013
Salary: Competitive base salary plus commission

Responsibilities:
-Sell exhibit space and show related marketing opportunities via outbound telephone calls and limited face-to-face calls; meet weekly, monthly to review sales goals and targets
-Manage and execute renewals of existing exhibitors; maintain and develop relationships and communications through high volume of contact during the renewal process
-Ensure customer satisfaction and promote excellent customer service
-Ensure all contracts are signed and space is paid in full on time
-Prospect for new customers through the development of databases, aggressively follow up with phone calls, personal visits and email communications
-Assist in maintaining the master show floor plan; monitor exhibit space allocation; coordinate requests for space changes to maximize space revenue; assist in developing strategies for space sales
-Create and coordinate sales information for emailing/mailing to exhibitors and prospects
-Effectively communicate and enforce display standards, union requirements, show logistics information, administrative requirements, promotional opportunities and handle general exhibitor inquiries to ensure a positive experience
-Handle exhibitor communications and relationships, including conflict resolution before, on-site and after event
-Communicate and handle miscellaneous operations duties as needed for show production
-Be an on-site floor manager for the shows including all of move-in, show days and move-out
-Take on additional sales and communications responsibilities as required to aid in achieving show objectives

The right candidate will have:
-Above average verbal and written communication skills in English and French
-Very strong sales and relationship management skills
-Great interpersonal and relationship building skills
-Self-motivated strengths, goal focused, resourceful and team player
-Natural problem solving abilities
-Strong focus on being detail oriented
-Excellent organization and project management skills with a strong ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines
-Ability to excel in a small office environment with a fast pace, willing to learn while being proactive and taking initiative
-Ability to work additional hours as required and travel to attend the show in Montreal

Qualifications:
-Minimum of two to three years proven telephone sales experience
-College or University degree strongly preferred
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet
-Experience in a Contact Management System and A2Z is considered as asset
