This position consists in feeding content to an important web magasine platform and building efficient strategies to achieve the site’s and the social media’s objectives.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily production of contents, news, articles, photo albums, etc.;
Content approval and curation;
Writing content related to the site’s mission;
Animate the social medias;
Budget management;
Build a team of collaborators;
Exercise a constant watch over the Canadian and American gossips;
Contest management;
Ensure the respect of the site’s mission and work in collaboration with Newad to achieve objectives;
Any other related tasks.
Qualifications
Degree in Communications, Journalism or any other related field
Minimum three years of experience in web writing and/or journalism
Experience in community management (social media)
In depth knowledge of Toronto’s social environment
Excellent writing skills
Capacity to generate new ideas quickly
Autonomy
Marked interest for “entertainment” news
Organizational skills
Excellent skills to manage priorities, your time, the time of others and tight deadlines
