Salary: 45K (1 year contract - strong possibility going permanent)


*The Buyer will be responsible for executing the conversion or relevant requisitions into purchase orders in compliance with procurement guidelines
*The Buyer takes responsibility for purchase order follow-on functions such as open PO management and the resolution of parked PO invoices
*Ensure proper purchase order creation/ management according to procurement/ business requirements
*Liaise with Business Partners on issues pertaining to purchase to pay processes
*Monitor SAP requisitions to ensure all information is correctly provided
*Create the proper purchase order type according to the buy (utilities, services, capex, framework orders, etc.)
*Review purchase orders and make payment channel recommendations to Regional Operations Manager
*Ensure bids and request for quotes are obtained according to policy
*Manage SAP workflow
*Ensure standard payment terms are met
*Facilitate vendor creations, changes, deletions, extensions when necessary
*Provide data/ information as required by operations
*Ensure that purchase orders contain the correct PCS codes at the line item level to facilitate spend analysis
*Ensure that purchase orders have accurate delivery dates. Monitor vendor acknowledgements and maintain purchase orders according
*Provide adequate response time to business partners with a focus on customer service
*Monitor the purchase to pay key performance indicators (invoice success rate, open purchase orders etc.) Identify areas of non adherence to target values and propose corrective action


*College or University Degree preferred
*Accounts Payable, Procurement and Shared Services experience preferred
*Excellent English and French verbal and written skills
*Strong MS Word & Excel user skills and SAP working experience
*Analysis and Problem Solving - Effectively examine events, issues and problems and generate optimal solutions in a timely manner
