Wanted: Storyboard Revision Artist for CG Studio
About the position:
The Storyboard Revisionist makes changes to completed Storyboards upon receiving notes from the director.
Responsibilities and duties:
Handling storyboard revisions and animatic cut-ins as per needed.
May need to storyboard a section of the script based on the director’s notes and storyboard supervisor’s instruction.
Manage his/her time effectively and efficiently in order to complete the production on time.
Communicate ideas effectively and recommend solutions to help interpret the script visually.
Consult with Supervising Director to approve the final storyboard panels and make revisions as needed.
Maximize the re-use when the production schedule calls for it.
Overall, be aware of the show/series continuity.
Qualifications and competencies:
Preferably with one year storyboard experience.
Excellent understanding of animation timing and posing.
Familiarity with 3D animation and the strengths and weaknesses of CGI animation.
Superior understanding of filmic storytelling principles and techniques.
Critical thinking skills.
Planning and management skills.
Ability to communicate processes, plans and concepts.
Ability to create entertaining and persuasive messages.
Ability to present specific viewpoints.
