Neptec Technologies Corp. develops innovative 3D machine vision products for machine automation and robotic applications in harsh environments. We are seeking a motivated, result driven, Analyst/Developer to design, develop, document and analyse algorithms for machine vision or robotics applications. The desirable candidate will be one who thrives working in a fast past, ever-changing, environment.
Independently applies engineering principles to moderately complex or contributes to complex projects relating to the design of products or tools.
May be assigned problems of diverse scope where independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions are made.
Exercises judgment within generally defined policies when selecting methods and techniques to achieve desired solutions.
Work is not generally supervised in detail and amount of supervision varies depending upon assignment.
Design, develop and document advanced algorithms to support machine vision applications
Design, develop and document system calibration processes and procedures for optical systems
Participates in software and systems integration testing activities
Collaborates with other engineering/project team disciplines.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
BSc. or equivalent in math, engineering, or physics (MSc is an asset)
3-5 years’ experience developing image processing algorithms in Matlab
Experience designing and developing algorithms for machine vision applications using 3D sensors
Experience working with LiDAR systems and their associated data
Experience in LiDAR calibration and alignment theories and practice
Experience programming applications in C/C++ an asset
